Tuesday, December 2nd

Yesterday they did an exam. During the first hour Annabel and me were teaching the split class. We could manage and that made me feel more confident. They did all what we asked them to do. My unit plan starts next week. I hope they'll like.

Monday, December 1st

We continue talking about my unit plan. We decide that I will start the 9th. I feel nervous. Anabel, my fellow student, has made a really nice unit plan using powerpoint and other computer programs. I don't think I have the same ability to do that. Well, I'll do my best.

Tueday, November 25th

We had a long chat about my unit plan. I have to make a lesson plan with a good distribution of the time. I am a little bit scared. Maybe I can't manage, maybe the students don't like my unit plan, maybe they don't listen to me, maybe... I am stressed!

Monday, November 24th

Sam, the young Englishman, came today. He took a group of 6 students and went to another classroom to teach them oral English. After half an hour, they came back and 6 other students went out with Sam. They were very excited. Students seem to like Sam. I suppose he means a change of the routine.

Tuesday, November 18th

Today Amelia suggested that the topic of my unit plan could be The TV programme. The students of my class are studying this now so it could be useful for them. I don't really know what could I do in my unit plan to introduce this topic. Amelia suggested that that they could do a play. We could divide them in groups of four or five and make them play an advert, the news, a quiz...and so on. We could record the result of all this and then we could all watch it. Yes, maybe we could do that.
In the afternoon I went to observe a 4th of ESO class. It is much more difficult, more challenging. The most of them are repeating the course, so in fact they are adults that sometimes behave like children.

Monday, November 17th

Today Amelia made the students seated in alphabetical order. That way, they would not talk so much.
Sam, an English boy that is here to help them with their oral English, introduced himself. He's from Salisbury. He's going to come every fortnight and teach them in groups of 5 or 4. I think that's a great idea and they seem very enthusiastic about it.
